Legal basis of data collection and use

We only collect data necessary for performance of a contract you choose to enter with us when placing an order / purchase products or services.

In addition our website offers the ability to leave comments under published articles to facilitate this we require a name and email address.

We DO NOT send out any marketing communications. Any emails you receive from us will be about information you have requested, responses to any queries raised or comments made, and/or information related to your order or purchase.

Data we have about you is solely data you have provided to us, we DO NOT obtain data from any 3rd parties.

We DO NOT share your data with any 3rd parties, other than what is necessary for us to fulfil our contractual obligations.

To fulfil our contractual obligation we will share the following with relevant service providers:

  • Postal/Shipping services – your name and shipping address (and if necessary telephone number) to send purchased items to you.
  • Payment processor – your name and address (billing & shipping), items purchased, order value and payment details to enable payment processing.

Our website is setup such that we do not store or have access to any payment card details, this information is sent directly to the relevant payment processor using an encrypted and tokenised data transfer from the page it is entered in to.

Your data IS NOT used by us for any other purpose.

Right to erasure

You may at any time withdraw consent from us to process your data and request that we erase data that we hold about you.

We will notify you if we are unable to do so and reasons for such decision.

Withdrawing your consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing we conducted prior to your withdrawal.

Please note: Data provided to us where you have entered a contract of sale with us, i.e. purchase of products or services – cannot be erased. We are under an existing legal obligation to hold/process this data for VAT & Tax compliance purposes. We anonymise data as and when such obligation expires or no longer applies. Currently we have to retain this data for a period of 6 years from the end of the relevant tax period.

Right to data portability

You may at any time request a copy of the data we hold about you. This will be in a human readable format which will be made available for you to download directly from our website.

For further copies and/or paper copies and/or requests we believe to be unreasonable – we may decline or make an administrive charge to process your request.

Right to complain
